Welcome to Yagua Eco-Lodge. By making a reservation with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which are designed to ensure the safety, well-being, and transformative experience of all our guests, while respecting the local environment and community.

1. The Experience & Our Philosophy

Yagua Eco-Lodge offers immersive experiences in the Peruvian Amazon, including:

  • Jungle Excursions

  • Ayahuasca Ceremonies

  • Combined Jungle & Ayahuasca Retreats

Our lodge is a family-run project built on humility, respect, and a deep connection to nature. The infrastructure begins with the authentic way of life of the Valderrama family. We are committed to continuous improvement of our services and infrastructure each season; however, these enhancements will always be made with the intention of preserving the soul, purpose, and authentic spirit of the place.

2. Guest Code of Conduct

To maintain a safe, peaceful, and respectful environment for all, all guests are required to adhere to our House Rules. Failure to comply may result in being asked to leave the lodge without a refund.

  • A Sanctuary of Peace: The lodge is a place of healing and connection. The carrying or use of non-sanctioned psychoactive substances, including arriving with symptoms of substance abuse, is strictly prohibited.

  • Zero Tolerance Policy: We have a strict no-violence, no-harassment, and no-discrimination policy of any kind. Disrespectful, aggressive, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated.

  • Mutual Respect: We foster an environment of equality and expressly prohibit patriarchal or any other dominating behaviors. All guests, staff, and community members are to be treated as equals.

  • Environmental Stewardship: Guests must respect the natural environment. This includes no littering, polluting, or disturbing the animals and their habitat.

  • Conscious Consumption: We operate in a remote location with limited resources. We ask for your mindfulness in not wasting food or water.

  • Cultural Sensitivity: Guests must show respect for the local community in Tamshiyacu, their customs, and their way of living.

  • Cleanliness: Please respect the shared spaces and help us keep the lodge clean.

3. Reservations, Cancellations, and Complaints

  • Cancellation Policy:

    • Reservations can be cancelled free of charge with a minimum of 14 calendar days prior to your scheduled arrival date.

    • Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival will incur a charge of 25% of the total reservation cost.

  • Complaints and Resolution:

    • We strive to address any concerns proactively. Should an issue arise, each case will be personally reviewed by the involved parties to reach a fair and amicable solution.

4. Health, Safety, and Ayahuasca Ceremonies

  • Personal Responsibility: Participation in all activities, especially Ayahuasca ceremonies, is undertaken at your own risk. It is your responsibility to disclose any physical or mental health conditions, medications, or allergies to our facilitators prior to your arrival.

  • Dietary Preparations: For those participating in Ayahuasca ceremonies, adhering to the prescribed pre- and post-ceremony dietary guidelines (the "dieta") is crucial for your safety and the effectiveness of the experience.

  • Directive Compliance: The instructions of the lodge representatives, guides, and Shamans are to be followed at all times for everyone's safety.

5. Limitations & Liability

  • Remote Location Acknowledgement: Guests understand and accept that the lodge is located in a remote part of the Amazon with limited access to medical facilities and without standard urban amenities like electricity and running water.

  • Force Majeure: Yagua Eco-Lodge is not liable for circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, or political instability that may disrupt travel or services.

  • Personal Property: Guests are responsible for the safety of their own personal belongings throughout their stay.

6. Feedback and Continuous Improvement

We respect all our guests and strive to make your experience as wonderful as possible with the resources we have. We highly value your constructive feedback, as it is essential for our learning process and helps us evolve our services in a way that honors both our guests and our mission.
